Engaging minds, enriching lives

The new

The old:

The (only) newspaper giant in Singapore has gone for a logo relaunch..
This will take a lot of getting used to.
Honestly, I am a little disappointed in the new logo.

In other news, there is a huge pay cut going around in the office.
AND I am affected. Can you believe it?

Choices or

"Maybe that’s what it all comes down to. Love, not as a surge of passion, but as a choice to commit to something, someone, no matter what obstacles or temptations stand in the way. And maybe making that choice, again and again, day in and day out, year after year, says more about love than never having a choice to make at all."

Microsoft sustainability

I can so imagine a world like this to live in.
Wonder why no one thought of sustainability of technology and the likes for our exhibition.

No such thing

I am still alive

Gosh!

I CAN actually finally write here.
For the past weeks or so, I havent been able to blog because everytime I try to access the blogspot dashboard, my firefox freaking crashes on me!!

Its been very long since I actually wrote a proper blogpost.
This is probably not a very good one to break the drought.
More of updates than anything. Whatever. haha

It is March 23rd today. 9 more weeks before the ferret returns.
4 weeks before I travel to Melbourne.
15 weeks (zomg) before the graduation event.

Lotsa things have been happening recently,
and I am not too sure if there is time to blog about everything.
But one thing I can say for sure is, I need to manage my time alot better.
I know I know.. I've been saying that for eons,
But this time, I really NEED to.
I've got 2 projects on hand that need to be completed before the Melbourne trip..
and that hugeass event coming up in July.
The event's ihavedesignsonyou. Just in case you want to know.

Otherwise, I think I'm doing good.
Slightly bummed out.. probably have days that I just wana stay home..
A little heavy hearted..
but I'm still good.

Everyone around me has been working really hard lately
I need to buck up.
Cheers to the ferret who will be in Texas next week, the nut who always amazes me with his photos, the family and friends who are always by my side and the people in school who are tirelessly working hard for the graduation event.

Barack H. Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America yesterday. The first African-American ever to hold the office of U.S. Commander-in-Chief.

Once again, fantastic photos from boston.com's the big picture.
So overwhelming.
from Africa, to the Middle-east, to Korea, to Philippines and to Singapore
Everyone was watching it.

Change is indeed here.

btw, some trivial: Obama became president even before the swearing in. He was sworn in 5 mins after the designated time of 12noon.

way of saying “I miss you

Because it feels so much more
complicated and involved than
just those three words

2009

I know I have to be optimistic and all since this is the new year.
But 2009 doesn't feel any much different from 2008.
Same shit different year.

Just so you know

I'm not too sure if anyone actually reads this blog besides Tim and I. haha

Anyway, here's some music I listen to in the wee hours of the night.
Either to keep me awake or to wind me down for sleep.
These are probably the few that I've been rotating about each night.
(I checked the play count in my iTunes)

Lets just put it as the Top 5 albums to listen to at 2am:

1)

Rilo Kiley – More adventurous
Awesome voice here. You must check this one out if you haven't already.
'I never' is especially appealing if you enjoy jazzy numbers.
I've been playing this non-stop for awhile now.

2)

Wilco – Sky blue sky
Melancholic and moody, not something to listen to if you're feeling down.
But just listen to it anyway, it is beautiful. haha.
I especially enjoy the last track. Definitely be looking out for their next album
Jeff Tweedy is the man.

3)

DJ Kawasaki – Beautiful
I hardly listen to house music.
But this one totally rocks. Slightly jazzy, I can listen to this all damn day.
What else can I say.. ah. very chill lar~

4)

Foo Fighters - The colour and the shape
Its Foo Fighters. Whats there not to like.
This is probably my favourite album.

5)

Jadon Lavik - Roots run deep, a collection of hymns
Jadon sings these hymns so beautifully..
I especially like how Amazing Grace was done.
Hymns with a modern touch. If it is your thing.

I could make it top 10. But I'll leave it as 5 for now :)
